Red Ambiental Loretana

With an attitude of considerable awkwardness the Government of Peru has supported the creation of an indigenous policy parallels the formal directive AIDESEP. There is no doubt that the intention is to try to divide the Indian leadership in the hope of weakening the movement and their claims. It will be another failed strategy of this government.

STATEMENT IN THE PUBLIC OPINION

NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL

 
Interethnic Development Association of the Peruvian Amazon - AIDESEP express public opinion nationally and internationally as follows:

1. In a move most of this government to try to crack the unity of peoples, created a false AIDESEP board headed by Mr. Alexander Wishu Teets, former leader, disowned by his federation and expelled by the regional organization for mismanagement executed during his tenure and now the game-making government-lends itself to this type of scam.

2. We reaffirm that there is only one National Board AIDESEP, led by president Alberto Pizango Chota; Daysi Zapata Fasabi as vice president, Saul Puerta Peña as secretary, Henderson Rengifo, treasurer and Walter Kategari as Member; legitimately registered with the Public Records recognition of the 1350 communities, 65 federations and 8 regional organizations.

3. Finally, the legal field of the organization is drafting the relevant complaint against these people that make up the board wrong to usurp the name of the organization and urge people not to be surprised by this type of scam that hides the true intentions of the government .

Teddy War, Second Apu from the native community of Andoas, regained his parole after more than a year of incarceration at the prison of Guayllabamba, Iquitos.

The authorities had arrested Teddy for his leadership role in the community who had decided to rise up in protest in 2008 by Pluspetrol working conditions and pollution caused by the same company. Now Teddy, and more than 20 partners, will await the completion of the trial that it takes 3 threes in the judiciary in Iquitos. For the duration of the trial Teddy will stay at the headquarters of the Environmental Network, a few meters from the prison.

In its edition of Monday 29 June Wilbert columnist Gil Navarro continues to write letters seeking any of the outstanding work and its president Brother Paul McAuley. In his notes constantly insists on the origin "alien" of Brother Paul, avoiding entering the subject of complaints just makes Loretana Environmental Network.
