What happens when large multinational oil company in oil exploitation in the Amazon? We have received news of a new film that gives an assessment of environmental and social impacts experienced by indigenous communities in the Peruvian Amazon. Two Canadian scientists - Jena Webb (Ph.D. McGill University) and Nicolas Mainville (M.Sc. UQAM) - to investigate deforestation and pollution in the area since 2001, demonstrate how toxins enter the aquatic food chain and affecting fish-eating communities. The documentary, directed by Mauricio Delfin (Visual Reality), is the researchers during the last trip where they deliver the results to communities in the form of theater.
